Cherry Creek Arts Festival 2011

I will once again be participating at the Cherry Creek Arts Festival this coming Fourth of July weekend. With one year under my belt I have a better feel for how to approach my booth. I was happy with the concept and design from 2010 but also knew I could improve it. Many of the seasoned exhibitors had fantastic displays.

The 2010 tent (above) was a simple gallery style display. This year I intend to further streamline the look. I hope to buy a nice oriental rug on craigslist for elegance. The tarp along the bottom of the tent will be cleaned up. I'd also like to bring more interactive information for people about fifty state animals and the other paintings.

Evening Facade

Evening Facade, 2010, acrylic on panel, 24 x 12"

Inspired by the old courthouse facade that faces Post Office Square in downtown Boston, my painting features the viewpoint from Federal Street. Coincidentally, this view essentially settles between the two buildings featured in "Crimson Sky."

Cherry Creek 2010

I have been selected to take part in the 2010 20th Anniversary Cherry Creek Arts festival in Denver, Colorado! It is an honour to have passed the juried process and I am excited for my first foray into the art fair fray. The event takes place ove the 4th of July, July 3-5. The outdoor event features about 230 artists and artisans, lots of culinary delights, live performances and annually brings about 350,000. Hopefully I'll see you there! For more info go to:
